Beaches in Galveston
  Activity Guide

Galveston Sand and Sun With 32 miles of Gulf Coast property, Galveston beaches are a haven for sun worshipers. For those who want to temper their sun exposure, umbrellas, chairs and outdoor pavilions are readily available. From May through September the water temperature stays around 80 degrees, perfect for swimming and other water activities. The sand is light colored and tan, powdery when dry and when wet compact and perfect for building sand castles.

Stewart Beach is an ideal place for families and children, with a playground, volley ball tournaments, and even sandcastle competitions. Add to this a life size human maze, a mini golf course and bumper boats and you'll have no trouble keeping your family entertained for hours.
